Every ADHD tee starts with a song.
Not a sketch. Not a trend. A line that hits different.
Because music is where everything begins for us. A lyric with weight. A hook with attitude. A verse that sticks in your head for weeks. That’s the real spark behind every drop.
We don’t just print words on cotton. We translate emotion into wearable design.
Step One: The Lyric Has to Feel Personal
We don’t pick random lyrics.
We wait for the ones that feel like they were written just for us. Something layered, emotional, sometimes messy. That’s when we know it’s worth building around.
It could be a one-liner from Frank Ocean. A chant from Playboi Carti. Or a whisper from The Neighbourhood. If it leaves a mark, it makes the list.
We sit with it. Loop the track. Replay the moment. Then ask: what does this look like in fabric?
Step Two: Visualizing the Sound
Once the lyric is locked in, the visual process begins.
We start with references. Album artwork. Moodboards. VHS textures. Photos from the artist’s era.
We figure out how the lyric would live if it were a design. Not just readable. Feelable.
Do the words need to scream in bold typography?
Do they belong behind a grainy photo?
Does it feel nostalgic, aggressive, or cinematic?
Every answer leads to a new creative direction.
Step Three: Design, Distort, Destroy, Repeat
Now the design starts to take shape.
This part is messy on purpose.
We test different fonts, scan real handwriting, use analog tools, layer textures, and add imperfections.
Because we’re not making clean commercial merch. We’re building tees that feel lived in.
Every piece has to carry the mood of the lyric, not just the words.
Sometimes a design comes together in hours. Other times, we scrap 10 versions before landing on one that feels right.
Step Four: Making It Real
Once the design is locked, we move to sampling.
We print it on different fits. Crop it. Wash it. Distress it.
If it doesn’t look like something you’d wear to a concert or a late-night drive, it goes back to the lab.
Only when the tee feels like the song does it make it into the drop.
This Is More Than Merch
At WearADHD, we don’t just sell tees.
We make pieces that speak to people who see music the way we do. As memory. As therapy. As identity.
That’s why every line matters. Every typeface. Every fade.
If you’ve ever felt something too hard from a lyric, chances are we’ve tried to turn it into a tee.
